It’s no secret that social distancing has left people feeling isolated, both physically and emotionally. But it doesn’t mean that we have to go through this confusing time alone.
In an effort to promote greater connectivity across messaging, Holler partnered with the Ad Council as part of its #AloneTogether mental health and wellness campaign, developed in partnership with ViacomCBS and MTV. The campaign encourages people to “Stay Active, Stay Calm, Stay Connected.” The campaign is also supported by public health partners, brands, major media networks and digital platforms. The goal of the partnership is to encourage people to spread positivity to their socially distanced “fam” in messaging environments. Today, we’re unveiling seven new pieces of content that support the campaign and usher it into messaging.
According to the Ad Council’s research, nearly half of young adults say they’ve experienced depression or anxiety as a result of the crisis. With in-person interactions on hold, it’s more important than ever to show our friends and loved ones how much we care by sending good vibes. In order to inspire optimistic conversations, our new sticker pack offers users light-hearted content with an irreverent edge.
The content touches on the three pillars of the #AloneTogether campaign, “Stay Active, Stay Calm, Stay Connected,” in a way that resonates with a young adult and millennial audience. Leaning into current cultural trends while inspiring positivity among peers, the #AloneTogether pack lends itself to self-expression within digital conversations.
At Holler, we know how important messaging is, especially in times like these. And although messaging was the most popular way to communicate even before we were socially distanced, the ability to add context to digital environments is more essential now than ever. In fact, 78% of people say that visuals allow them to express emotions words cannot. And with 76% of 18-29 year-olds having conversations using only visuals, it’s crucial to provide them with the content they need to keep their interactions engaging and fun.
We’re excited to be a part of the #AloneTogether movement, alongside other major media companies, and hope this content helps to bring people closer together even when they’re apart, one positive vibe at a time.
